WORKSHOP #1 DESCRIPTION
Reflect on One’s Cultural Lens & Individual Cultural Identity
In this workshop, we will have an opportunity to articulate various aspects of our identity, practice identity marking, reflect on the stages of cultural competence, script job embedded ways to reflect on our identity so that we can be of better service to students, families, and to one another.
WHAT TO EXPECT
FoJ Series Workshop dates: 10/8, 11/5, 12/3, 1/7, 2/4, 3/4, 4/1, 5/6, and 6/3
Time: All live/synchronous sessions are from 5:00-7:00pm CST
In addition to these workshops, participants will engage in pre and post session activities (up to 2 hours each month) which include:
- 10 eLearning videos: 2-4 minutes per episode (micro-content) totaling in 15-25 minutes video learner time
- 10 formative assessments (1 at the end of each episode), which contains 3-5 self-assessment questions
- 1 summative assessment at the end of the module/series
- 10 digital resource guides (1 at the end of each episode) that connect additional content for a deeper dive
- Opportunities for group discussions and collaborations
