I had a dream as a child which was to become an educator. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and went straight into the teaching field. I started teaching kindergarten right out of school. However, I quickly realized I loved working with students with special needs. I went back to school at night to earn a Master’s degree, so I could work with special needs. I now have the opportunity to work with wonderful students that just learn differently. In the past 24 years that I have been in education, I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing scholars!
