Alexis is currently the CTE, Law & Public Safety Instructor for Minneapolis Public Schools. She spent 18 months as an Executive Office Case Specialist for Wells Fargo who specialized in account investigations and fraud loss mitigation. However, since completing her Masters degree in Public Safety and Law Enforcement Leadership at the University of St. Thomas, Ms. Love was recruited as the Children’s Ministry Director at Park Avenue UMC. She is also Park Avenue’s long time Spirit of David Youth and Glory Be Children’s Choir Director.

As a Cedar Valley Law Enforcement Academy graduate of Lancaster, Texas, Alexis received her certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards & Education. Upon returning home to the Twin Cities, Alexis became a physical security Sergeant with Securitas Inc. In doing so she helped fortify accounts such as Ameriprise in downtown Minneapolis, Blue Cross Blue Shield headquarters in Bloomington, and finally, managed security officers at the large Midtown Exchange building in the south Minneapolis Phillips neighborhood as a Security Sergeant. As Sergeant Love, Alexis honed her law enforcement leadership skills while encountering people from diverse backgrounds.

As a culturally diverse service leader with a heart for responsible civic engagement, Alexis Love possesses leadership prowess to encourage excellence and influence worthwhile change at the heart of everything she does. Her dream is to help bridge the gap between law enforcement and urban communities across the United States.

Alexis is passionate about her contribution of responsible citizens to society and has accomplished this with her own two sons. Her eldest, Alexander, received the 2020 Facing Race award as a high school senior by the St. Paul and Minnesota Foundation, and Jonathan is a thriving AP honors high school junior.
