WELCOME

Welcome to this last segment of Culturally Relevant Competency #2. This digital experience is designed to further the thoughts and conversations related to Competency #2 – Recognizing and Redressing Bias in the System in/adjacent to our Educational System.

Within this digital experience, you will be introduced to different people and perspectives through videos produced by Frontlines of Justice, which will serve as key pieces to extend the dialogue. Each video exists to provide a point of view that deepens the discourse while being supported by additional resources. Each month, you will have access to new videos and content related to the specific competencies with a focus on the power of storytelling and the importance of a great storyteller.

WHY DO STORIES MATTER?

We believe that our stories reveal our differences, just as they, paradoxically, reveal our common humanity. It is through storytelling that critical connections are made as we listen and learn from one another about our lived experiences. As you move through the digital experience, we invite you to think of your stories and how they have shaped who you are and how you interact with the world around you.
